A bright Monday with Orange + Pink!

Although there is nothing new about this color combo, I felt that we needed a breath of brightness and color on this rather wet and rainy Monday. Yes, it is still raining here in the Bay Area and is likely to for the next week, so expect an array of bright and colorful posts in the next couple of days to keep our spirits lively! xo

Weekend!!!

Happy weekend everyone! What a whirlwind of a week. As some of you may have noticed or experienced, blogger was down for about a day, hence why I was unable to post. The little hiccup from blogger also deleted posts and comments...so frustrating! Anyways, I am completely looking forward to a weekend filled with lots of me time...sleeping, nails, lounging by the pool and more sleep. I am also extremely excited to attend one of my dearest friend's graduations from UC Berkeley tomorrow morning. So proud of her! Any plans for you? I hope everyone has a relaxing and wonderful weekend. Cheers to catching up on relaxation and friends! xo

Black and White Basics

 

Sometimes (especially mid week) I yearn for simplicity. Whenever I am seeking an effortless style I always go back to the basics: black and white. That means throwing on a simple white top, black leggings, black gladiator sandals, my classic black tote and simple gold bangles. It is the perfect solution when my mind is on overload during the week, want to look great, and don't have to think. I love how the simplistic combo can also bring a dramatic punch--especially in the home...Cheers to simplicity at it's best!

Fashion Muse: Emma Stone

 

 

 

I have always adored Emma Stone and am feeling especially inspired by her perfectly fierce & gorgeous look. She not only has a marvelously witty sense of humor, sass and spunk but a fabulous fashion sense to boot. My favorite look of hers (although it is hard to choose) has to be the ravishing fuchsia Lanvin cocktail dress paired with those stellar Lanvin sandals--completely fabulous! Dining Room Heaven...

There is something just so perfect about this dining room. It has to be the soft gray walls bordered by elegant moldings, high ceilings, and the perfectly beautiful chandelier, coupled with the white and gold mod chairs and modern white table. The exquisite gold candelabras and gold eighteenth century French mirror doesn't hurt either! I am always looking for the perfect combination of traditional and modern, and here it is! Dining room heaven.

A little piece of sunshine...

I have always adored pops of yellow. It instantly brings a bright and perfectly happy and fresh element to the home. Yellow is truly complimentary to almost any color palette, but my favorite combination (shown many times above) is white, yellow and gray. The combination has the perfect balance of spunk and liveliness while still being sophisticated. I am actually adopting this perfectly pretty trend for my bedroom this summer. White and pops of sunshine yellow has to be the best way to wake up in the morning and bring an instant smile to my face!

Spring into Pattern!

With Spring in full effect, what better way to celebrate than with bold and beautiful pattern? From the runway to the home, pattern is springing up left and right, and I personally am all about the bright and attention-getting designs this year!
