The Perfect Spring Table

I have been desperately in the mood to entertain recently. Not just "throw out some chips, dip, beer and wine" entertaining, but a full on dinner soiree with table centerpieces galore. With Spring right around the corner, what better way to embrace these festivities than researching some fabulous Spring table-settings. I love the idea of mixing fruit and flowers together, like in the first picture. So fresh and festive. I think my favorite look this season must be the fourth look from the top: a simple white tablecloth, moss lining the middle and white boxed vases filled with grass, white roses and white orchards. Simple and fabulous. However, I must say that the flower filled-table enveloped by the meadow (in picture two) is a close second. Absolutely stunning. Then again, I am in love with the uniqueness of each picture, so it is hard to say which one is my fave! Which table setting would you pick? Happy (almost) Spring! xo

The quest for the perfect bedroom

I'll be perfectly blunt. My bedroom is boring me. I am desperately yearning for a romantic and glam bedroom that still is soothing and relaxing. I have literally had the same color palette (not to mention almost the same furniture) my entire life: gold and white. Simple, classic, pretty, but boring. At least I am totally bored of it. So, I have been doing some research to see what I can do to jazz it up (while staying in my just out of college budget). I am in dire need of a headboard and I found a fabulous, tufted and very cheap headboard from Target here. Oh, and I am also dying for a chandelier (as you can tell from the pictures!), but until I stop renting, I doubt that will happen anytime soon. So, to jazz up my gold and white theme, I was thinking about painting my room a grey-blue, like the first picture. What do you think? I also thought a kelly green throw paired with the gold, white and gray would help to liven the room up a little. However, there are so many possibilities! Gold and white really look fabulous with any color, but I am yearning for something that pops but still has sophistication. Other possibilities include adding hints of fuchsia, sky blue or even a dark charcoal gray. For now, I will keep dreaming away...

Erdem Spring 2011 Collection

When I first encountered Erdem Moralioglu's Spring/Summer collection, my eyes grew wide in awe. It literally epitomizes what Spring should be about: florals, brights, ruffles, lace and an overwhelming femininity. With French lace, perfectly ruffled dresses, and flirty florals, Erdem's collection is one to be remembered this Spring. I could see myself putting on any of these dresses (or the fabulous lace trench) to go out for an afternoon of drinks and apps. with girlfriends by the SF bay, to a Napa excursion, or to a Spring/summer wedding. I would wear any of these dresses with either one of these these fabulous LAMB shoes. Spring perfection.

Dreaming of far away places...

Dreaming of cobblestone roads and far away castles, beautiful boat-rides and Parisian cafes. With the weekend approaching, I would give anything to pack my bags and jet off to a far away place, preferably Europe again...I am dying to go back. I seriously cannot WAIT to get this rather persistent travel urge out of my system, but I suppose recently graduating college means that I need patience...which is NOT my strong suit. Well, until then I will have to settle on these enticing pictures of magic, wonder, and aesthetic lust!

The rebirth of a Tudor gem

Built in 1927, this breathtaking Tudor mansion featured in Elle Decor was recently renovated to become more "family friendly." Designer Stephen Grambel transformed the weathered New York abode into a serene and inviting family home. The pops of light blue throughout certainly bring a dose of warmth, calm and sophistication. I would never want to leave!

Happy March 1! Spring is in the air...

Happy March 1 everyone! Spring is (close to being) in the air...I am giddy just thinking about it. I hope this inspiration board of color, flowers, and loveliness makes you in the mood for Spring as well. It makes me want to take off my riding boots, scarf and leather jacket and pick up a bright colored dress and t-strap sandals. I am absolutely loving the combination of the bright orange paired with the coral...pure happiness.
