Sweet Simplicity

I hope everyone had a fabulous Memorial Day weekend! When I came across the first beautiful image on the wonderful blog Bright.Bazaar, I knew that I had to post it today! It truly epitomizes my Memorial Weekend.

My weekend was exactly what I needed: perfectly simple. I took a million naps, did a little shopping, had a dear friend (from the incredible blog The-Margaret-Files) over for a delicious dinner and talked until all hours, caught up on my Elle Decor and watched a couple movies with my boyfriend. It was low-key, relaxing and absolutely perfect.

What did you all do? I hope you had time to rejuvenate! Enjoy your Tuesday everyone...xo

Getting ready for the heat!

Hello friends! I hope you all have had a fabulous, relaxing and overall marvelous weekend so far...and YES it is not over (quite excited about that since weekends always seems to fly by). With the sun finally coming out, I am getting ramped up about summer, which means the heat, skirts, brights, wedges, and me needing to work on my tan (or getting off-white rather)....

Hope everyone enjoys their Memorial Day and gets to enjoy some sunshine! See you all tomorrow!! xo

House of the Week

I actually had a different post lined up for today, but when I saw this house decorated by the extremely talented Suzanne Kasler, I thought DONE. I just love the southern sophistication and elegance that she brings, without being overly stuffy or serious. Everything about this house I adore--I love how it's sophisticated grandeur seems effortlessly comfortable and inviting, especially with the pops of vibrant artwork. Sigh. When can I move in?!

Pale & Pretty Pastels

Pretty In Pastel
The combination of various pastels always makes me relaxed. I'm feeling especially inspired today by fair Spring flowers in full bloom and bringing that dreamy and light element to fashion or decor...

How soothing and breezy is this room? I adore the combination of ocean blues, pale pinks and grays--I could curl up and read for hours (if I didn't fall asleep first)...

Have a lovely Wednesday, everyone!

In a perfectly feminine fashion

Lacey work appeal

Lace, ruffles, feathers, and a touch of sparkle always makes my heart go pitter-patter! Swooning over the quintessentially feminine combination and am feeling especially inspired to go that direction while planning my outfit for this Tuesday...

A Mayan Riviera Vacay

Tickets booked! I am officially getting ready for a Mayan Riviera vacay in less than a month. I could not be more excited. My boyfriend and I are flying into Cancun and immediately taking a taxi to Playa del Carmen, an hour south. There we will be staying at the beautiful Le Reve hotel for a week where we will relax beach-side, snorkel, explore the famous lagoons, and even go cave exploring. We will also venture an hour south to visit the ancient Mayan ruins in on the coastal town of Tulum. The ruins overlook the Caribbean Sea--I cannot wait to explore...
We are extremely eager to bury our feet in the sand, sip on margaritas and watch the sun set over the Mayan Riviera...
July truly cannot come soon enough! Until then, I am dreaming of sun soaked beaches and palm trees dancing in the ocean breeze...

The Never-gets-old Animal

I have been feeling rather desolate of bold and fabulous inspiration this week--it could be because I have been getting over a rather nasty flu, but regardless, I have been searching for something that made my eyes pop. Then I came across these electrifying and dynamic displays of animal prints displayed on The Coveteur. So fabulous. This is just what I needed to get energized for the weekend. Enjoy! xo

Soothing Slumber

For the past couple days I have been sick with the flu, and have been in the mood for soothing remedies. I am currently inspired by subdued palettes, warm sheets, crackling fireplaces and down blankets...

Also, remember these romantic bedrooms here?

A bright Monday with Orange + Pink!

Although there is nothing new about this color combo, I felt that we needed a breath of brightness and color on this rather wet and rainy Monday. Yes, it is still raining here in the Bay Area and is likely to for the next week, so expect an array of bright and colorful posts in the next couple of days to keep our spirits lively! xo

Weekend!!!

Happy weekend everyone! What a whirlwind of a week. As some of you may have noticed or experienced, blogger was down for about a day, hence why I was unable to post. The little hiccup from blogger also deleted posts and comments...so frustrating! Anyways, I am completely looking forward to a weekend filled with lots of me time...sleeping, nails, lounging by the pool and more sleep. I am also extremely excited to attend one of my dearest friend's graduations from UC Berkeley tomorrow morning. So proud of her! Any plans for you? I hope everyone has a relaxing and wonderful weekend. Cheers to catching up on relaxation and friends! xo

Black and White Basics

Sometimes (especially mid week) I yearn for simplicity. Whenever I am seeking an effortless style I always go back to the basics: black and white. That means throwing on a simple white top, black leggings, black gladiator sandals, my classic black tote and simple gold bangles. It is the perfect solution when my mind is on overload during the week, want to look great, and don't have to think. I love how the simplistic combo can also bring a dramatic punch--especially in the home...Cheers to simplicity at it's best!

Fashion Muse: Emma Stone

I have always adored Emma Stone and am feeling especially inspired by her perfectly fierce & gorgeous look. She not only has a marvelously witty sense of humor, sass and spunk but a fabulous fashion sense to boot. My favorite look of hers (although it is hard to choose) has to be the ravishing fuchsia Lanvin cocktail dress paired with those stellar Lanvin sandals--completely fabulous! Thank you Emma, for being our Fashion Monday Muse...which look is your fave?
